90×90: Drunken Masters Comedy at Wolf & Crane Bar

Celebrate! Activate! Investigate!

Join in 90 literary and cultural events in 90 days in our beloved city, with our words, art and performances, discussions and workshops, celebrations and actions, from July 5 – October 1, 2017. Events are curated and offered by Writ Large Press and friends, at Cielo Galleries, venues in Little Tokyo and Downtown LA, and other locations around Los Angeles.

 

Join us Monday night as three writers read/perform short excerpts from a work-in-progress in front of a panel of judges in the field who provide on-the-spot feedback. The only catch is that these master writers have been plied with drink or PG indulgence of their choosing. A laid back, entertaining (and sometimes riotous) reading!

Event occurs every other Monday and is curated by Chiwan Choi and Judeth Oden Choi.

90X90: Digging on Sade at Civic Center Studios

 

In the first of this three event series that celebrates music with poetry, and poetry with music, we will be introduced to the Golden  Shovel poem, a form created by Terrance Hayes, that incorporates lines from the poetry of Gwendolyn Brooks.
