Celebrate Los Angeles’ literary community at Grand Park’s Downtown Bookfest on March 28, from Noon-5pm. This is the place to see, hear and read from the largest coalition of Los Angeles-based authors and publishers in a day for book lovers both big and small. Explore Los Angeles literature and join the conversation about what L.A. is, how L.A. is portrayed, and meet and discover authors that write about who we, Angelenos, are and how we live. Hear Los Angeles Poet Laureate and L.A. native Luis Rodriguez and Los Angeles Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman, read their powerful poems about life, the working class and Los Angeles as they kick off the day at 12:30pm on the main stage.
Readers come out and support the creative writers of Los Angeles.
